About Us

We have four partners in the firm who, along with a reliable team of support staff, are able to cover just about all the areas of expertise that you are likely to require. We take great pride in our friendly and approachable service and are always available when our clients need us. You won't find a telephone queuing system here!

Michael Silcock - Chartered Accountant - Senior Partner

Mike specialises in all areas of taxation and has a wealth of experience in International Tax, Inland Revenue investigations, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, Investments and Pensions.

He also keeps in touch with more regular day to day issues in Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT and National Insurance.

With these wide ranging skills, Mike will carefully review your circumstances before recommending any course of action and his clients value this very personal and thorough service.

At the same time, Mike keeps an eye out for practical areas, for example, by reminding clients to review their Wills.

A safe pair of hands, indeed.

Michael Peters - Chartered Accountant - Audit & Accounting

No accountancy firm would be complete without its traditional Audit & Accounting department and Mike heads this up for us.

He and the team provide a full auditing and accounts preparation service for many family businesses as well as Charities, Clubs and Associations. They can also attend to your Payroll and VAT return needs.

In Mike's experience, there are always other matters to be attended to if you are running any organisation and he can guide you through meetings with the bank manager, visits from Income Tax and VAT officials and achieving your long term goals.

Mike also attends to the taxation needs of both the corporate and individual business owner be it by way of succession and Capital Gains Tax planning, Corporation Tax mitigation techniques or the more straightforward Tax Return preparation.

He is also able to provide investment advice.

Ramesh Kapadia - Chartered Certified Accountant - Information Technology

How did we ever manage before I.T.?

Ramesh looks after our own systems as well as helping clients who are either entering this area for the first time or considering an upgrade.

Ramesh finds that I.T. is the perfect complement to his Audit & Accounting skills and is always pleased to suggest to clients how I.T. can be used to help them with their necessary accounting tasks.

When Ramesh is not wearing his I.T. hat, he looks after a number of Corporate clients and can often be found at stocktakes, AGMs and management meetings handing out sound advice and gathering information for audit and accounts purposes.

If you do not need a full-time inhouse accountant but need someone with the skills to relieve you of these tasks whilst you make your business grow, give Ramesh a call.

Lesley Lang - Chartered Tax Adviser - Pensions, Investments & Taxation

Our clients look for financial advice from someone they trust and Lesley has found her original role as a tax adviser expanding, more and more, into investments and pensions.

She has, therefore, become qualified to advise in these areas and is able to continue to work with clients right through from their personal taxation affairs into current investment decisions and longer term financial planning.

This planning will often encompass the mitigation of Inheritance Tax, reviewing a pension portfolio and checking that the types of investments into which clients have invested their money remain suitable.

But Lesley's original tax background is not forgotten and she still advises on Income and Capital Gains Tax and other technical matters.
